For Marie, one of our Founder Leaders, youth ministry is about helping young people discover something that will stay with them throughout their lives: the extraordinary gift of faith.

What inspired you to become involved with the Carlo Acutis Association?

“I started in youth ministry over ten years ago, and I know just how daunting it can feel. That’s why I’m involved with CAA.

We’re an organisation of experienced volunteer youth leaders helping other parishes build youth communities without feeling overwhelmed by the process. We’re in the mission field. We’re on the ground. We’ve been there ourselves and we’re here to help.

The CAA model is simple, practical and effective. Having experienced leaders to accompany and mentor others makes all the difference.”

What’s been your favourite moment so far?

“Seeing just how effective the CAA model has been. In such a short space of time we’ve helped parishes establish new youth groups, while also supporting existing ministries that had begun to lose momentum. Watching those groups regain enthusiasm and flourish has been incredibly rewarding.”

What would you say to a young person thinking about coming along for the first time?

“God is calling you. Come and see the wonderful plans He has in store for you. Just come and give it a try. Let God take care of the rest. It could be life changing.”
