Youth Ambassador
Young people don’t just attend our youth groups, they help shape them.
Meet Arin, Youth Ambassador for the Carlo Acutis Association.
“My dad, Ray, was starting the Association and I went along to one of the early meetings. During that meeting Maggie suggested that I could become the Youth Ambassador. I thought it was a brilliant idea and was really happy to say yes.
For me, it’s about helping other parishes understand what a youth group can mean to a young person. I’ve experienced first hand how the St Carlo Acutis Youth Group has helped me grow closer to Christ, and I want other young people to have that opportunity too.
If someone asked me whether every parish should have a youth group, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. My answer would be yes.”
“I’m really grateful to be part of such an amazing team. Everyone brings something different and together we support parishes in starting youth groups.
Listening to the stories from parishes we’ve already helped has been really inspiring. As my dad always says, ‘It’s about making a difference in one child’s life.’ That’s what it’s all about.”
“Everyone has a first time.
Every young person who walks through the door has probably felt nervous or unsure, just like you. But you won’t be on your own.
Yes, you’ll have loads of fun, make friends and enjoy being together, but you’ll also discover what it means to grow closer to God. That’s what makes our youth groups different.
For me, youth group isn’t just about the young people. It’s about all of us, leaders and young people together, following Jesus’ example and helping one another grow in faith.”
